As some of you may know, Dolce & Gabbana has released their Winter 2012 men’s and women’s runway shows. In this post, I’d like to focus on their womenswear - their gorgeous, extravagant womenswear.
Some common themes of the collection for Winter 2012 are stars, musical notes, piano keys, animal prints (specifically leopard and tiger), printed lace, and especially menswear for women. We’ve been seeing menswear for women a lot the past year, and D&G is keeping it up.
According to their press release, the fabrics used for their collection for women include strech charmeuse, stretch tulle, stretch lace (a personal favorite of mine), chiffon (all of their chiffon dresses in this collection are to die for), and paillettes (which are pieces of metal/foil used to decorate the garments).
Personally, I am in love with this collection. Here are some of my favorite standout pieces.
